Weber 32/36 DGV & DGAV

This is a very popular OEM replacement carb, available with manual choke and two models with auto choke (water heated & electric). It is a progressive secondary carb. Water heat choke model depicted below. Some parts may not be fitted, depending on model. A variation of this carb came fitted to the Ford 2.0L engine in the Cortina & Escorts.

Plastic float:  Float level X =   34.8 - 35.8 mm

Float drop  Y =  44 - 46 mm

Brass Float:     Float level  A  =  40.5 - 41.5 mm

Float drop  Y =  49.75 - 51.75 mm

The tang LC is bent accordingly to adjust the float level. Tang A is bent to adjust float drop. Be careful when bending the float setting tang, do not bend it out of plane to the needle valve and be careful not to puncture or damage the float. Adjust the mixture screw out 3 full turns as a starting point. Make sure any diaphrams fitted are in the neautral position before tightening the housing screws.

Below is the schematic for the manual version. Part numbers are different to the top schematic.
